I do not use any tools other than the rules I have in my head for a 1-2-3 pattern which is also part of the ab=cd which is the skeleton of the gartley and butterfly. I trade with esignal and draw all my own lines on the charts. The lines are dynamic meaning they change according to the ab=cd rules. I allways draw projections and copy the charts and color them in a program cxalled sbagit by www.techsmith.com . The program is 39.00 and has been worth the investment 100's of times over. (and like I said before it saves on therapy bills, lol!)
Now, unless you are really good and have ingrained all the basic and intermediate stuff...anything automatic at least in my humble opinion creates a handicap for the inexperienced person (trader) using it.Some never really understand what it is or how it got the resullt. They trade on the result whether it is right or wrong! I have looked at some of the pattern makers on other systems and frankly they were not allways correct and besides I like the cd leg which is part of a finished pattern,so unlike some who play the de leg I have had to develop signals to get me in on a totally different trade..
Chin's tool is very cool if you use or do not use Mt4. Fibs are a big part of my trading.
As far as refereces, I would look on the net ( you have to learn to be resourceful) for 1-2-3 trading and ab=cd stuff. Pesaventos chapter 4 (ab=cd was good) in the new book, " Trade What You See." There are several who talk about harmonic numbers etc but if you keep it simple at first the rest of the stuff you will add -usually does by inquisition and curosity or as a need as you mature as a trader. I would never be in to much of a hurry to get the next best thing or to automate...there is nothing better than your own brain if you train it, focus and disipline it....
