Does Gulf Beach run any specials? I went to their site & the cheapest rate for 5 nights/2 people I could find was $858.00 for the 5 nights. Ouch! Looks like a nice place, but I'm trying to aim for less expensive than $171.60 a night. If I had the money though...I'd love staying there!

I actually live in Florida and we go to Sarasota once
a year (and have been since I was a child). We have
always stayed here.... Gulf Beach Motel. It is not
glamorous but it is nice, clean and VERY affordable.

It is RIGHT on the beach (and has a pool, grills,
shuffle board) and close to shopping. They have
refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, etc. Also ask for
one with a screened in porch, it makes it nice to keep
all your sandy things in there so your room doesn't
get messy. Also there are grocery stores close by so
you can shop and save a TON on eating out.
BUT... if you go there you HAVE TO go to Yoders. It is
an Amish restaurant that has the most incredible pies
in the world. I kid you not. Here is their website:

It is only like 10 minutes from the motel too. MAN, I
want a slice of their peanut butter pie right now.
Its out of this world!!!!
